ACTIVE PRESS BOX

 The full-featured PRESSPOWER 2 is the successor to our original 
PRESSPOWER unit, the standard for press conferences worldwide. 
It features 2 mic/line inputs with individual gain controls and 16 
transformer isolated outputs that are individually switchable for 
mic or line level operation. The PRESSPOWER 2 includes a 20-segment 
LED level meter, an internal test tone generator, a built-in headphone 
monitor amp with volume control, high-pass filters, and phantom 
power--all conveniently front-panel accessible. The high-performance 
input stage provides clean audio even in high-RF environments. 
The unit can be powered by 115/230 VAC - 50/60 Hz., by (4) 9V internal 
batteries or with an external DC supply (12 - 36 VDC) connected via 
rear terminals. This allows the unit to be powered by a car battery, 
cigarette lighter, camera pack, etc. and the unit will automatically 
switch to DC back-up in the event of an AC power interruption.
Additional active mic/line outputs can be added with optional 16
 channel PRESS2XP expander module, giving you up to 48 total active 
outputs. Additional mic outputs can be achieved by adding passive 
PB Series Press Boxes to outputs set to line level.

 This compact, active press feed distribution box distributes 12 high-quality 
mic level signals and 2 line level signals with a high degree of isolation 
between outputs. It provides a 60dB gain adjustment for one mic or
line input. The PressMite also features a built-in headphone amp. 
Two alkaline 9V batteries provide power for typically more than 8 
hours of continuous operation, monitored by a Battery OK LED. 
The batteries are easily replaced via side-mount trays. A DC Adapter, 
model PS 24W, is an available option. AC Power adapter 
is included.


In MIC input mode, 18V phantom power is selectable. An LED 
headroom display speeds adjustment. The PressMite’s box is built 
to withstand the abuse of public events. If more outputs are needed, 
PB Series Press Boxes can be connected to the line outputs to 
provide up to 48 additional mic outputs.

PASSIVE PRESS BOXES

 For applications where an active press 
box is not required, or for adding 
mic level outputs to the PRESSPOWER 2 
or PressMite, the PB Series Passive 
Press Boxes distribute one line level 
input to multiple mic level outputs, 
providing excellent interchannel 
isolation. Each PB Series box 
output is transformer isolated and 
ground lifted to eliminate noise problems. 
Whirlwind TRSP-2 transformers 
are used throughout. The boxes are 
constructed with rugged, cold-rolled steel. 
Available with 6, 12, or 24 outputs. 
Order a  PB [06, 12, 24] 
to specify the number  of outputs.
